Side dishes will also be accepted, but on a first-come, first-served basis. To help you in your selection decisions, enclosed is a copy of the food items offered last year. Beverages (beer, wine) will be exclusively offered by the Island in the City Committee; however, vendors may offer any type of soda, water, or non-alcoholic beverages. Exclusivity will be guaranteed by the Committee to any vendor who participated in the prior year food exclusive PLEASE NOTE: You will receive confirmation on the items for which you are granted exclusivity. ITEMS NOT ON YOUR CONFIRMATION WILL NOT BE ALLOWED! Facilities Each booth is 10 x 15 with counters and sign posts and are located along the west side of the Festival grounds. Access to a water source will be available. All food preparation and utensils will be removed off-site for proper cleaning and sanitizing. Signage can be provided by the vendors, be generic in nature and be related to the vendor and specific foods offered. Signage should be attractive and legible for best results. In the event a food vendor does not have a sign, one will be provided by the Festival Committee if properly notified in advance. Price sheets must be posted, visible and at least 11" x 17" in size. The food vendors will be facing the Main Stage area. The Food Tent offers chairs and tables for people to sit and enjoy foods offered by vendors. One forty (40) amp circuit will be provided with four (4) electrical outlets – additional power can be supplied for an additional fee. Your electrical needs must be specific. For your convenience, we must know these electrical needs, in advance, so that wiring for your booth can be completed prior to your arrival. Our space and capacity are limited; any major equipment not specified in the application will not be allowed or accepted. Please use propane-based equipment whenever possible. Fees Food Vendor Booth Fee - $1,000 (10' x 15') Additional (10' x 15') attached $250 Security Deposit: $100 Payments: March 1st $100 security deposit due April 30th $500 first 1/2 payment due June 1st $500 2nd final payment due Vendor Specification Selection will be based on the following: First priority will be given to vendors who participated last year; second priority will be given to Harwood Heights/ Norridge businesses and finally, to all other businesses. The Island in the City Festival reserves the right of first refusal. Applications will be numbered upon receipt of application and fee.You may fax your application to (708) 457-8385; however, exclusivity will only be considered upon receipt of completed application including payment. You will receive a confirmation letter listing your exclusive menu item(s) and booth position along with other necessary paperwork and information including times for equipment set-up, drop-off and access pass. Please return your application as soon as possible! No applications will be accepted after June 1, 2011. Health and Sanitation The Village of Harwood Heights Health Inspection Department will be out to inspect each booth on a daily basis. Please visit the Village of Harwood Heights website for all necessary requirements prior to the start of the Festival. All Food Vendors are responsible for satisfying all Health & Sanitation requirements. PLEASE NOTE: At the conclusion of the event, you are responsible for cleaning up your space. Please pick up all garbage and debris prior to leaving the Festival grounds. If you need assistance, please see one of our grounds keepers.
